If any portion of the inspection reveals live insects, chemical treatment should be applied according to manufacturer recommendations and local regulations regarding pest control products and materials application procedures.

All items containing live insects must then be disposed of safely, and all other items inspected must be thoroughly cleaned before being placed back into use in the home or business premises. Exclusion measures, such as sealing cracks around windows, doorways, pipes, etc., will also need to be implemented at this stage in order to prevent future reintroduction from neighboring properties.
